Map of Nophra
Nophra is a planet that is about 90% water, with a single continent which I refer to as 'The Mainland'. It is roughly the size of North America and has a variety of climates to it.
Exploration outside of the area around the mainland isn't possible due to the extreme climate generated by the huge ocean expanse. The mainland is kept safe thanks to Aerus, the Demigod of Wind. He maintains a barrier around the mainland keeping the storms and violent waters at bay.

Lunaya Region
Lifespring Element: Water
The northern part of the map. The climate here is mostly polar.
Pyrite
A small island on the very northern tip off the mainland. The climate here is harsh and cold, with the landscape being covered in snow all year round. Population here is very low, and most only come for the facilities in Nethermire.
Nethermire
The Capital of Pyrite. It hosts the largest research facility and magic school in Nophra.
Asteria
A polar region to the north. While the weather here is a little warmer than in Pyrite, its coastal position make it very windy, rainy, and gloomy.
Eios
The Capital of Asteria. A small rest spot town, most are only there to pass through to Nethermire.

Vivielle Region
Lifespring Element: Earth
The northern central part of the map. Most of this region has a dry climate, with the very north being temperate.
Elysian
Elysian is a lush land. It’s a mix of forests and open grasslands, with a bit of a mountain range to the east. The earth here is known to be exceptionally fertile. Small farming settlements dot the lands and mountainsides. Lots of Crystali make their home here for the pleasant weather and vicinity to a decent sized free town like Moonvale. The abundance of resources here has ensured that all can live in abundance.
Moonvale
The capital of Elysian. This town is of a decent size and is fairly wealthy thanks to its export of crops. Lots of travellers pass through here since it’s between Sashai and Nethermire.
Paralia
Paralia is a huge desert expanse in the heart of Nophra. For the most part, it is a sea of sand, with the odd oases or rocky expanses. Some canals also pierce the landscape on their way to bring water to Sashai.
The sand in this desert is special, a large quantity of its grains are composed of shed mira scales and other parts of their bodies. It looks like glitter in certain conditions. The Glass made from Paralian sand is known to be exceptionally beautiful.
The peninsula to the north transitions from dunes to salt flats, with hypersaline lakes on the very northern tip.
Sashai
The capital of Paralia, and the largest city in Nophra. It is home to Morrak’s royal palace and is the center of her influence. Sashai is very densely populated, and heavily guarded and patrolled.
Outside of the castle grounds one can find lots of markets, restaurants, entertainment, etc. The streets are active and lively almost 24/7.
For the most part, it appears to be a paradise in the heart of the desert, but delving deeper reveals a corrupt monarchy hungry for power and control.
Whistling Oasis
A large oasis towards the center of Paralia. It is in the harshest and hottest part of the desert, so not much about it is known. Aside from being hard to reach, it’s common knowledge to any Paralians to steer clear, since a dragon guards it fiercely.

Ferrox Region
Lifespring Element: Fire
The northern central part of the map. Most of this region has a dry climate, with the very north being temperate.
Dasos
The area to the south of the Paralian desert. The ground here is very rocky/sandy and it’s dry and open grassland for the most part.
Towards the south as it starts to transition into the Aerus region, the lands become more swampy.
Ashfang
The capital of Dasos. This city is known to be very gloomy, to the point where Crystali joke that it must be haunted or cursed. Most of it is inns and taverns for travellers, as it is between Sashai, Adamantine Bluffs and Clynaia.
Many Crystali have packed up and left the city in search of better and happier lives. This has left a fair amount of run down and abandoned housing in the surrounding area, further dissuading others from wanting to live there.
Meraki
A very warm and tropical region. Most of this area is composed of thick rainforests. Population here is low since most of the forest is considered uninhabitable, and many fear the volcano to the east. Some Crystali travel here to forage since some very useful medicinal herbs grow here in exclusivity and abundance.
Clynaia
A small beach town, and the capital of Meraki. Most of the population here is composed of apothecaries and merchants looking to gather herbs. There is also a booming fishing industry here. It's warm tropical waters attracts a huge variety of fish. Life here has a very relaxed atmosphere to it.
Meraki’s Maw
A volcano on the north-easternmost point of the region. From afar it looks like a great beast’s mouth, which is where it got its name.

Aerus Region
Lifespring Element: Air
The southern chunk of the map. The climate here varies from continental to polar. This region has the harshest of cold weather.
Psari
A rocky and mountainous region. The earth here is rich with ore and other valuable resources.
Adamantine bluffs
The capital of Psari, and for the most part, the only concentration of population within. This massive city is second only to Sashai. Most of the city is subterranean, which is a great way to insulate and keep the wind and cold at bay. There are a few buildings above ground, but for the most part this place is completely subterranean/a series of cave and shelter entrances. A lot of homes are carved out of the cliffside to the west.
Kairos
An island off the southern coast of Nophra. The lands here bear massive scars from ancient battles. During the winter months, the climate is so cold that it is almost uninhabitable.
Finnmork
The capital of Kairos. This city is rich with hot springs said to rejuvenate even the wariest of souls. During the summer when the weather is more reasonable, there is a fair amount of tourism in the area.
Atroa
A small lone island to the south. The climate here is impossibly cold year-round. There is no travel or significant population here. The island is barely visible from Kairos on the clearest of days. It has a sinister appearance about it, and nobody travels there wilingly.
Ripgate
Ripgate is the only settlement on the island of Atroa. It is said to be a type of prison complex.
